About Premium Solar Ltd
Premium Solar has been incorporated since July 2022 following to an increasing demand of Photovoltaic (PV) Systems to cut down electricity charges and at the same time to mitigate climate change. The local government is doing much effort by providing numerous incentives to shift to Solar Energy. For instance, the CEB is offering schemes where the customer has the possibility to sell the excess KWh generated. Also, the investment in such renewable energy systems is Tax deductible which is a major savings right from the installation date.
According to the World Economic Forum – Energy Transition Jan2018
Throughout the entire modern age, mankind has used fossil fuels to meet its energy requirements. Coal, oil and natural gas have lit homes and powered machinery for centuries, driving civilization forward. But as human development accelerated, the unsustainability of such energy became apparent. Global fuel supplies deteriorated and the atmosphere became more polluted. The search for renewable energy sources began, to ensure a sustainable future.
In Mauritius, the daily energy demand is relentlessly increasing year after year and is putting lot of pressure on Energy Generating Companies. The costs to produce additional Watt-Hours at peak time is very high, where at times, it is more expensive than being claimed to consumers.
To stay within the most economic productive range, the local Electricity Company, CEB, is offering to the public two
Grid-Tie schemes for Residential and Commercial users. These are the:
- SSDG: Small Scale Distributed Generation, mostly for Residential Consumers
- MSDG: Medium Scale Distributed Generation, mostly for Commercial Consumers
Under these schemes, all electricity generated is exported to the CEB Grid at a rate of Rs,3.75 per KWh whereas all electricity consumed is imported from the grid, at a multi-level pricing tariff. Net metering is done while the energy bills are raised. With these schemes, the user will lower his/her Electricity Bills and can also generate income if import quantity is lower than generated quantity. However, in so doing, the user helps to mitigate Climate Change by using renewable green energy instead of energy generated with fossil fuels.
At the COP26 conference held in Glasgow, the Mauritian Prime Minister, committed himself to reduce Carbon Emissions by 30% before 2030.
Premium Solar Ltd. has set an objective to install 722 KW of Solar Panels for its very first year and some 1.5MW for the second year of Operation. We offer premium quality materials offering up to 25 years warranty. Our personnel are fully qualified to offer a safe and long-lasting installation.
We help you design your PV Plant to satisfy your needs and our prices are competitive with best calculated ROI.
All the investment in PV plants is Tax deductible and we recommend using this benefit while the CEB schemes are open to consumers. The Hybrid PV systems are even more recommended as it can be used as a generator given that the Storage batteries are meant to provide electricity at night, hence increase in savings.
